BEARS ON THE RIVER 2008
Join the GatorBears Saturday, July 12th for their annual tubing trip down the Ichetucknee River!
Meet at the South entrance picnic area at 10:00 AM. From there we can all take the tram to the MID-Point Dock. The actual time on the water will be around one and a half to two hours. Afterwards, we will return to the picnic/parking area for an afternoon of food and fun.
Due to the potential of bad weather and burn bans we will NOT be grilling again this year. Please bring picnic food (sandwiches, chips, sides, sweets and sodas) enough for yourself and some to share. Plates, cups, napkins, flatware will be provided. Remember no alcohol allowed in the park.
Be sure to pickup your tube or raft from one of the vendors along US 27 before you get to the park entrance.
Admission is $5.00 per person.

You can get driving directions by clicking here, and then enter your address. Following the directions will take you past the South entrance to the North entrance. Make sure you stop at the SOUTH entrance!
The trip will take you approximately 3 hours including stopping to rent your tube. Some members are going up Friday night and getting a hotel room for the night.
